Allusion Vertical Sheers

Compare sheer light filtering and a vertical fabric layout for wide windows and doors.

Choosing allusion vertical sheers

Allusion vertical sheers combine sheer and opaque fabric sections in a vertical layout. They offer a softer fabric appearance than conventional vertical blinds, with different light and privacy positions. For a wide opening, compare the view, fabric stack and daily door access before deciding. Tim can explain the configurations available for your measurements.

A sheer light-filtering position

The sheer sections soften daylight and preserve some outward view. How much you can see through depends on the lighting on each side.

A more private position

Turning the opaque sections changes the screening across the opening. Review evening privacy and edge coverage in addition to the daytime appearance.

A side-stacking layout

A vertical treatment moves differently from a roller shade. Discuss stacking direction, the amount of space occupied and access to the door handle.

Details that make the treatment work

Start with door access

On a sliding door, the opening needs to remain convenient to use. Check handle position and where the fabric and hardware sit when moved aside. Compare the layout with how you actually enter and leave the room.

Look at the fabric in both positions

A sheer treatment can look quite different when the opaque sections are turned. Ask to see the light-filtering and privacy positions on a sample so you can judge both appearances.

Allow for the track and stack

The headrail needs a suitable mounting surface and clearance. The fabric stack occupies space at the side of the opening. Final measurements determine the practical configuration; not every wide opening has the same solution.

Compare other treatments for the same opening

Vertical blinds may offer a firmer slat appearance. Roller shades provide a flat panel but need to be raised for access. Track-based shutters add a framed layout. Compare these by movement, privacy and the amount of glass left open.

Common questions

Are Allusion sheers the same as vertical blinds?

They share a vertical layout but use sheer and opaque fabric sections rather than conventional slats. Compare the appearance and operating positions in person.

Will they provide privacy at night?

The opaque position provides more screening than the sheer position. Lighting, edges and the selected fabric affect privacy. Review your sight lines before ordering.

Can they be used on sliding glass doors?

They may suit a wide door opening when the mounting surface, stack and handle clearance work. Tim checks those details on site.

Can this treatment be motorized?

Tim can explain the operating options for the available Allusion system. If you want motorization, discuss that before selecting the fabric and size.
