Custom Closets and Storage for Southwest Florida Homes

Plan storage around what you own, how you reach it and the space you actually have.

Start with what needs a place

A closet should be planned around your clothing and routine before finishes are chosen. Start with what you hang, what you fold and what needs a separate place. Tim can discuss your storage project, measure the space and help compare hanging, shelving and drawer arrangements for your layout.

Walk-in closets

Plan hanging, shelving and drawers around a clear route through the space. Check door swings, corners and the reach to upper storage before adding more components.

Reach-in closets

The opening and doors determine what you can access. Compare shelf depths and hanging sections, leaving space to reach items at the sides and behind the doors.

Pantry and utility storage

Tell Tim what you need to store and how often you use it. Shelf spacing and depth should suit those items; any specialty hardware or load requirements need confirmation in the proposal.

Make a storage inventory

Count the long-hanging and short-hanging items separately. Note folded clothes, shoes, accessories and bulky items. Identify what is hard to reach in the current layout. Photos and approximate measurements help start the conversation, but final design requires a site measurement.

Leave room to move and reach

More shelves do not automatically make a closet easier to use. Review the walking space, drawer extension and door clearances. Decide which items should be at eye level and which can sit higher or lower. If two people share the closet, discuss separate zones before selecting components.

Choose materials and finishes

Ask what the quoted panels, hardware and shelf supports are made from and how they should be maintained. Review a sample alongside the room finishes. Materials, colors, accessories and size limits depend on the system being proposed; they should be identified before you order.

Review the installation scope

Clarify who removes the existing storage, whether wall repair or preparation is needed and what the installation includes. Discuss any electrical outlets or obstructions in the space. Tim will confirm the order and installation schedule for the agreed design.

Common questions

Can you help if I do not know which layout I want?

Yes. Start with an inventory of what you store and the problems with the current closet. Tim can help you compare layouts after measuring the space.

What determines the cost of a custom closet?

Dimensions, layout, materials, hardware, accessories and installation scope affect the quote. Compare the full proposal rather than only the number of shelves or drawers.

Can I keep parts of my current closet?

Share photos and explain what you want to retain. Whether it can be incorporated depends on the condition, dimensions and proposed system; confirm that during the site visit.

Do you serve Cape Coral, Fort Myers and Naples?

These communities are included in the Southwest Florida service directory. Include your city when requesting a closet consultation so Tim can discuss the visit and project scope.
